The TODAY Group are running two funding campaigns, one at local and another at National level.
The Regional campaign is asking Fife Council to postpone the Advocacy tender in Fife until evidence in relation to the consultation with various stakeholders is produced.
The National campaign calls on the Scottish Government to introduce a fairer funding framework, with best value guidelines. This will allow the voluntary sector to be treated fairer than at present through:
* Increased salaries in line with other sectors
* Longer term funding (5 years) to allow voluntary sector groups including smaller charities to plan and develop services.
* Local authorities to consult with stakeholders including service users, carers and families and evidence this.
* Local councillors representing their constituents to ask questions and request supporting evidence of the rationale behind decisions made by council officers.
